Coming from the bright lights of the big city that is Liverpool, I’ve always eager to see the new collections from RARE each season. The Opulence collection within the RARE family is a fashion collection that creates glamour and luxury. Every wardrobe needs at least one of these high-end luxury items!
Opulence SS11 is a mixture of couture and glamorous dresses, unique tops and striking trousers and laser cut skirts. They’re not designed specifically based on catwalk trends and so these timeless pieces can reemerge from your wardrobes time and time again. The inspiration for this collection came from old couture collections, Grecian goddesses and old Hollywood Glamour.
My favourite piece of the collection has to be the Opulence Chiffon Ballerina Dress, priced at £148.
I first fell in love with this creation when it was initially released for Autumn/Winter 2010/11 in black and nude. The new version for the summer season excites me just as much! The peach colour is on trend and perfect for the wedding/party/prom season. The peach chiffon structured bandeau is simple and elegant whilst the tutu skirt gives it a playful edge.
Playsuits are still very much a fashion must this season and the Opulence Layered Bow Suit, £152, is one to add to the list.
The beige fabric is ideal to show off those summer tans and the playful shorts create the perfect night on the town outfit. The bow detail to the front creates a new twist on the ruffle trend, whilst the one sleeve gives it the aura of Grecian (21st Century) goddess.
Palazzo pants are big everywhere this season, and Opulence aim to please with the Opulence Pansy Print Palazzo Pants.
These multi-coloured floral Palazzo pants, £89, add a hint of romanticism to the trend. The softness of the flower print and the shades of orange, peach and coral are amazing for summer nights on the town. Dress them down for a day time look with a simple elegant vest and gladiators or for those summer nights on the town, team with a pair of heels and this Opulence one shouldered bodysuit.
The Opulence Asymmetric Drape Rouched Bodysuit, £89, is a one shoulder bodysuit which is so versatile.
One of the more understated pieces of the new collection, but as equally stunning, is the Opulence Large Plait Opposing Ruch Dress.
The £135 dress is available in cream and peach and would make a great addition to any wardrobe. It’s an elegant timeless piece that can be pulled from your wardrobe for years to come. The one shouldered large plait detail expands on the Grecian goddess concept of the Spring/Summer 2011 collection.
But for the more adventurous fashion-ista, there’s the Opulence Metallic Tiered Maxi Dress:
The tiered maxi dress includes pom pom detailing to each tier and is not for the shy or understated fashion wearer. You’re sure to be noticed in this!
