Both faux and authentic leathers have dominated the high street to suit every budget. Following the Autumn/Winter catwalk season, we have been overwhelmed by the likes of Chloe and Alexander McQueen giving leather a massive makeover and introducing us to a side of leather that is no longer tough and heavy. With the leather craze ever growing; we are blessed with exceptional quality, delicate detail and butter-soft finish’s. Leather is no longer a material aimed for the music sub-cultures of heavy metal and punk nor is it strictly worn for uniform purposes. Leather has been given an ultra feminine overhaul this season in the form of leather laser cut shift dresses to high-waisted leather pleated skirts, making it a key material that is now effortlessly intertwined with our everyday outfits.

We are aware that some of you may think this outfit is a little too ‘out there’ so we recommend toning down the colourful accessories and going for more neutral colours such as pastels and oatmeal’s. For a daytime look, match these tan leather shorts with some opaque pattered tights and a mustard cable jumper teamed with some flat tanned brogues for a wonderful winter look.
