Coloured jeans are definitely a fun trend this coming season. We have already seen them make their first appearance during the summer, yet now their role is set to get so much bigger and the ideal colour to fully stand out is of course, red!

Observed amongst Alexander McQueen’s pre fall collection which features strong military inspired garments teamed with bright red trousers. This iconic colour of denim is set to become the stand out garment in many an outfit. They easily take the on leading role and simply need good friends to play along and complement them.

Here is one of our favourite ways to wear this energetic hue below the waist:

Choosing the French Connection five pockets (1) Lilly Denim Zip Fly Skinny as a start point. Priced at £75.00 these skinny jeans feature a classic slim fit that are figure-hugging in a comfortable way due to the slight stretch of the fabric which includes a 5% elastane content. These bright and bold jeans are going to be noticed by all, so not recommended for those who like to shy away from being the centre of attention.

Added to the jeans, we opted for this grey (2) New Look: Vintage Mickey T-Shirt (£12.99) featuring the all time classic cartoon character, The long fit is comfortable the perfect fun match for these full of personality jeans.

Every season, every girl needs “that” amazing new bag; the bag that breathes the spirit of the season, featuring the right colours and textures. With this in mind, we chose this (3)Fiorelli Navy Cross Body Bag from Dorothy Perkins as a definite contender for bag of the season. Retailing at £69.00, we instantly fell in love with its neutrally balanced colour blocking and the way it gently crosses over the body freeing up or hands and not forgetting to mention its ample space for our essential handbag things! This bag is the perfect item to carry around on those busy long days when practicality is of upmost importance but style is not to be overlooked.

Include another dimension of cool to this outfit by adding this beautiful (4) Scarf Ray5 C found at Mango for £22.90; the extra layer gives the overall outfit more texture.

Looking down to the feet we chose these (5) Zoona Brogue Platform Boots by Bertie available at House of Fraser for £119.00. Their rubber soles make them incredibly warm and comfy as well as tailor made for an unpredictable splash of rain. The masculine brogue look complements the brightness and playfulness of the trousers and becomes a solid base for the rest of the outfit to be built on top of.

Because the small details are the ones that make an outfit work as a whole, we included this element as a final touch. Petite in size but not so much in relevance; this metallic blue (6) Nails Inc: Belgrave Place Nail Polish from Debenhams priced at £11.00, is the ideal contrast to the effervescent colour of the jeans.

In order to stay warm and be prepared for those windy, crazy weather-changing days we selected this (7) Knitted Aran Shawl Cardi from Topshop, which we just love for its light cream tone and cosy fitting. As part of the granddad style cardigan trend and its purse-friendly retail price of £48.00; it constitutes a must have in your winter wardrobe. And what’s more, its versatility guarantees you will definitely get your monies worth from this purchase.

Embrace the cool winter spirit from head to toe, with this fashionable outfit guaranteed to brighten up even the dullest of days!!
