Most commonly known for her role as the ‘beauty’ in the film series, American pie; newly married Tara Reid is now becoming more of an iconic beauty in her new role as a Big Brother contestant.
The show, recently axed from Channel Four has undergone a major image re-brand and has been launched on channel Five. The show which has introduced to the world well known figures such as Jade Goody and Brian Dowling is still going strong.
Watched by millions every day, the show which is currently airing its celebrity version, is proving to be a massive success and is a sure fire way to get all those celebrities who have gone form A list to Z list back into their A game. Stars such as Tara Reid have over the years lacked media attention and have often been in the limelight for the wrong reasons but now she is back! Back with a hefty rock on her finger, her face pumped with botox and most importantly flaunting her gorgeous figure in sexy got-to-have outfits.
It would be nice if we were all blessed with assets like Ms. Reid, but sadly not all of us are! So on entering the Big Brother house on 19th August this year it would be hard to believe that we too can wear figure hugging, slightly provocative dresses like Tara. But this is where you’re wrong! With the right cut and slight adjustments we can all look as good as Tara and ooze that star quality….minus the Big Brother cameras!
Tara wowed her Big Brother audience in a LBD (little black dress) as did fellow contestant Kerry Katona.. Black is flattering and is one look that you can never get wrong! Tara’s dress must have cost a fortune with her designer tag but there are some equally good replicas out there to add as a staple piece to any wardrobe. Depending on the budget you have available, you are sure to find a chic little number similar to Tara’s.
The detail in her designer frock was that of cut out pieces covered over with black lace. This added a seductive touch to Tara’s look but also kept her ‘current’ with cut away dresses set to be big this coming A/W season.
On searching for a ‘copy’ for us all to follow, Missguided.com hosted the best match. This Jules One Shoulder Pleated Bodycon Dress is a mere £39.99 and carries all the key elements of Tara’s dress. It might not have the lace panelling a la Tara, but instead incorporates encrusted diamantes which offer a cheeky originality to the dress. Plus with the cut away effect missing it means that this dress would suit and flatter almost every body shape.
Missguided: Jules One Shoulder Pleated Bodycon Dress

The advantage of this one shoulder pleated bodycon dress is that is comes in a variety of different shades. So if you were keen to copy this celebrity style but not a big lover of the colour black then choosing another shade would be easy.
Like all girls, when wearing a statement dress it’s only right to team it with ‘killer heels!’ Tara chose to wear some high, Christian Louboutins in black with a ballerina effect tie around the ankle. Ok, so we don’t always have the budget for such luxuries as owning a pair of Louboutins but after searching Boohoo.com I came across this pair which I feel is the closest match on our high street.
boohoo.com: Black Suedette Platform Ankle Strap Heels

They offer the height to lengthen your legs and have a cute ankle strap to keep your feet in the right place and at the same time add that ‘Tara’ touch with a tie effect around the ankle. What is most appealing about these black suedette platform ankle strap heels is they only cost £35.00!

So there you have it, for a small price of £74.99 you can be rest assured that you will wow all your friends and family with this Tara Reid outfit!
However if you wanted to go that extra mile with this look and include some of the lace paneling that Tara flaunted, an idea would be to wear a cut away dress (there are a lots available on boohoo.com or misguided at present) and wear a black lace body underneath. Though I know as a fellow fashionista we’re not all that brave so for a safe yet eye catching style the diamante version is one that will create an equal amount of wowness!
