With her personal life being in the public eye more often than that of the lady herself and a love life that is more exciting than any publication of a Mills and Boon book. For Kerry Katona it would seem an up-hill challenge getting the nation to adore her again after so many demons that that she has so publically battled. However never one to shy away in the face of adversity; Kerry shows us how to make a spectacular comeback.
Known for her roles in Atomic Kitten, the face of Iceland Foods and a few years ago in the reality TV series ‘I’m a celebrity get me out of here!’ where she won the show and was crowned Queen of the jungle. Kerry’s life has escalated out of control since the public fell in love with her all that time ago. But now Kerry Katona is back! With a new hair cut, new boot camp body and a brighter outlook on life! Kerry has joined the numerous amounts of housemates in this year’s re-launch of Celebrity Big Brother on channel 5.
On August 19th, along with fellow housemates Tara Reid and Amy Childs as well as ‘The Hoff’s’ ex-wife, Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff. Kerry was the first to enter the house. Having recently been allegedly ‘dumped’ by former PR company ‘Cann Associates’ Kerry looked every inch the celebrity star as she shone through the red carpet.
Wearing a black ‘dipped’ hem dress with ruffles galore, Kerry looked every inch the super star. Her hair was styled in a quiff and her smile broadened form cheek to cheek. Her persona interpreted that this former Atomic Kitten star was set for a new start and emphasised this in her style. The dress worn is from on-line retailer, Forever Unique and like Amy Childs glamorous dress; it came with a hefty price tag. The dress is called ‘Alba’ and is soon to be released on the website at a cost of £330.
However on Saturday (3rd September) Kerry was getting dressed up for what she thought would be another route through the Big Brother doors, but this time out of them! As Kerry got ready for her potential exit from the show, she dressed herself up in a girly, feminine styled dress which once again oozed glamour and style. Once again this little striking number was from Forever Unique and is at present is a pre-order item. It costs £385 but with its crystallized Basque and tu tu effect skirt, it would very much be an investment piece to any wardrobe.
However unlike Kerry Katona it is difficult for us to afford the hefty price tag that comes with this dress. But thank goodness for the high street! Thanks to the ‘catwalk of normality’ we can now purchase similar pieces for a fraction of the price celebrity’s pay.
Rare: Opulence Corset Ballet Dress
Rare fashion are offering some of the key celebrity looks for this upcoming season. They are not what can be classed as ‘bargain’ prices, but dresses such as this one similar to the one Kerry wore is heavily detailed and ‘made with love’ so it is only to be expected that you will have to pay just a bit more than the ‘norm’. This Opulence Corset Ballet Dress will set you back £165.00. This version from rare takes on the ballerina style that Kerry’s pre-eviction dress resembles. The tu tu effect creates volume and the contrast of mocha against black gives a dramatic effect and will most defiantly make you stand out from the crowd!

Another similar version available, which carries on the image of “ballerina” is the Lace Ballerina Dress by Rare available through the Topshop website. It comes in a variety of colours so you will be able to choose the colour that suits your skin tone best. We’ve chosen to showcase the champagne version as colour is more suited to the tones of Kerry’s dress. The dress incorporates a strap over the shoulder – this adds great support for any of you fashionistas out there with an ample bust! The corseted top will nip you in at the waist and then allow the skirt to speak volumes for itself.
