boohoo.com is renowned for fast fashion – always on-trend, always stylish and always excellent value for money!
Now they are stretching their fashion fingertips with no less than six collections to reflect the upcoming trends of Autumn/Winter 2011. ‘Off-Duty’ and ‘70’s Country Girl’ offer relaxed, effortless looks, while ‘Cut Work’ and ‘Luxe Grunge’ serve up pieces with a little bit of edge and a whole lot of sexy! ‘Vintage Emporium’ and ‘60’s Pop’ embrace the retro and respectively offer elegant forties-inspired pieces and a cheeky take on the 1960s look. So this season, boohoo.com is offering a little something for everyone!
Here are our favourite pieces from each mini-collection – which one will be your favourite?
Lottie Cord Turn Up Belted Chino Trousers from the Off Duty Collection

£25.00
Gone are the girly floral dresses and playsuits you typically associate with boohoo.com, the ‘Off-Duty’ collection is full of grown-up pieces such as quilted jackets, Chelsea boots and these gorgeous Lottie Cord Turn Up Belted Chinos. Chinos were big news in Spring/Summer 2011, but the added twist of corduroy makes these ones so suitable for the Autumn/Winter season too. These Lottie chinos are relaxed tailoring at its best – the cut is elegant but the material adds a great slouchy look. Available in rusty brown or jet black, these cord chinos will fit perfectly in your A/W wardrobe. Pair with an oversized jumper and statement heels for pure off-duty glamour!
Jaya Mesh Top Detail Button Through Midi Dress from the Vintage Emporium Collection

Forties glamour is a huge trend this season and boohoo.com have nailed it with their collection ‘Vintage Emporium’. Filled with ditsy tea-dresses and elegant pussy-bow blouses, this collection offers up something a little more luxe and ladylike than previous assortments. Our favourite piece is the Jaya Mesh Top Detail Button Through Midi Dress; a complete bargain at £18.00! This dress is so flattering, with a nipped-in waist and an elegant midi length, the skirt is cut longer at the back so creates a luxurious flowing shape. The mustard colour is gorgeous – Fearne Cotton has been seen wearing something very similar recently. While the black is super dramatic! Pair with elegant forties-style heels and pendant earrings for a luxe vintage look!
Joelle Straight Jersey Side Split Maxi Skirt from the Luxe Grunge Collection

‘Luxe Grunge’ is a collection of slouchy, rocky, slightly androgynous pieces, all with a sexy twist; think Mary-Kate Olsen!! This collection heavily features items such as wet-look faux leather leggings, oversized jumpers and baggy t-shirts.
One of the most versatile pieces in this range for me is theJoelle Straight Jersey Side Split Maxi Skirt. Available in berry, ivory, rust, mocha and teal, this maxi skirt would work well dressed up or down; the sexy side split is perfect for showing off high heels and can be teamed with a glamorous top. As an alternative [dressed down] the jersey material keeps it casual and would look great with an oversized knit. And at just £12.00, you can buy one in every colour!
Liv Polka Dot Lace Panelled Body from the Cut Work Collection

The A/W season is full of excuses for glamorous nights out – Bonfire Night and the Christmas party season, not to mention New Year’s Eve! boohoo.com’s ‘Cut Work’ range provides a series of seriously sexy and super glamorous pieces perfect for your big nights out!
The collection is full of body-con and backless dresses and almost every item features a risqué cut-out. Our favourite is the Liv Polka Dot Lace Panelled Body at £16.00. This body ticks off some of this season’s hottest trends – polka dots, lace and panelling; all the while being seriously versatile! Pair with skinny jeans and shoe-boots for grown-up glamour or a body-con skirt for a perfect night-out look!
Chelsea Two Tone Faux Fur Coat from the 70s Country Girl Collection

The 70s trend has been hitting the high street and topping the style charts all year round and A/W is no exception! The ‘70s Country Girl’ range is inspired by heritage prints, a warm autumnal colour palette and is full of classic items with a twist; like paisley printed shirts and paper-bag waist wide-leg trousers. We think the Chelsea Two Tone Faux Fur Coat in ginger is a going to be a must have addition to this season’s wardrobe especially with the price being a reasonable £80.00. The chic grown up style oozes sophistication and the plush fabric choice will keep you snugly and warm during the colder months and knowing that the fur is not real will also keep your conscience clear!! Style with wide flared trousers and a pussy-bow blouse to really get that 70s country girl look.
Jodie Ponte Roma 60s Style Shift Dress from the 60s Pop Collection

‘60s Pop’ is the final mini-collection from boohoo.com A/W and is full of fun, quirky pieces to keep your look cheeky and kitsch the whole winter long!
Stars like Alexa Chung and Diana Vickers have been championing the 1960s look for a while already and while their own collections are inspired by 60s chic, this boohoo.com range is much more affordable and just as much fun! Full of typical 60s trends like Peter Pan collars, balloon sleeves and shift dresses and super-bright colours. ‘60s Pop’ is definitely the most ‘out-there’ of the collections.
Our favourite piece can be worn for day or night, work or play. The Jodie Ponte Roma 60s Style Shift Dress is seriously poptastic in a striking green colour tone and not to mention oh-so pretty!
The shift dress is a classic cut but is kept contemporary by the contrasting white Peter Pan collar and full length sleeves that stand out against the mint.
Wear it for work with a pair of cute Mary Jane shoes or even a night out with skyscraper heels – this dress will do it all! Just remember your Bardot beehive and lashings of eyeliner for perfect 60’s chic.
So which collection is your favourite? And which pieces will be making their way into your A/W wardrobe?
