New Face of Galliano

News just in…….

British born designer Bill Gaytten has been named as the new Creative Director of the John Galliano label.

The 51 year old replaces the disgraced designer John Galliano after he was fired earlier this year from the label that bears his own name and from the prestigious Dior fashion house, after making anti-Semitic remarks. The shamed designer stood trial last week.

More familiar with a behind the scenes position, Gaytten has now emerged into the spotlight on his own merit. Having worked with John Galliano for the past 23 years, the long term assistant is now firmly in charge. He has already been leading the design team and oversaw from concept to catwalk the menswear spring/summer 2012 collection shown in Paris last Friday (24/06/11).

A statement said “Gaytten’s expertise to innovate patterns, cut and drape are what define the DNA of the house.”

Does anyone share the same opinion as me?? That it makes a refreshing change for a long serving unknown face to actually get the appropriate recognition for years of hard work and service!! Well done Gaytten and well done LVMH for noticing!!

Love C xx
