For those of you whom shopping and reading magazines just isn’t enough fashion culture, this could be the event for you! Six of the Italian fashion power houses we have all loved, admired and been inspired by are coming together to showcase a handpicked selection of images from their archives. Who is it you ask? Well I’m sure at least most of us could name a couple of them but in celebration of Italy’s 150th Anniversary of its unification Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Ferragamo, Gucci, Missoni AND Prada will all be adding a little bit of their personalities to this incredible event.
From the 1st July to the 14th August, the Embankment Galleries, South Wing in Somerset House in London will be the place to be. Well known for being the host of London Fashion Week they are extending their fashion reach this year. This is a chance to get up and close and personal with images from the top names of fashion, to get a real feel for their work and what drives them to do what they do. There are going to be some really exciting and iconic images here for you to see and it’s an experience that you will want to talk about for years to come. How often do we get the chance to see six such influential fashion designers all in one small space?
Tickets can be purchased through Somerset House from their websote at http://www.somersethouse.org.uk/visual-arts/masters-of-style they cost £6/£5 for concessions. Opening hours are 10:00 – 18:00 Daily and until 20:00 on Thursdays. Make sure you’re not the only one not in the know! See you there!
